Taking a Moment

By: Kristin Peterson (1/13/23)

Nature is so Healing. It was a typically gorgeous PNW day, soft, drizzly with billowing clouds banking in over the steepled peninsulas… I looked down at the view from 12th and Bridgeport, ready to take a left for my errand run… and at that EXACT moment, it was just SO stunning, so I thought I’d just go down the hill a little bit… just for a “look”… Well, I went down the hill, and I saw how gorgeous it was, and I followed it straight down to Titlow. I didn’t have my dog with me, had chores to run, and it made me want to go walk my dog, but sometimes you just have to live in the Moment and have no regrets or wishes to change the Moment. Like… we need nothing more than what we already have at hand… Instead of missing the Beauty of the day, by my choice alone, I got to get out, live in the moment, and enjoy Nature (mostly present, even though I took pictures, but more in complete fandom…), dance alone on the beach with toes out and froze out, and talked to strangers, said prayers, danced prayers, and did some personal and Universal thinking… but what a nice day you can have when you just allow yourself to and set aside chores that could be done another day. It was a magical time.

I also want to say and continue to send prayers for Healing where Healing is needed, in general or very specifically, and Thanks for already working on Healing that, God/ Higher Power/ Source. Amen, Amen, Amen! What a Good Friday!
